The fastest growing Gaelic and traditional music festival in the UK is about to take to the skies as part of its new programme for 2008. Now a notable fixture on Scotland’s cultural calendar, the Blas Festival has announced it will be staging 45 events across the Highlands, including its ‘highest ever show’ in its smallest ‘venue’ – a Cessna plane flying at 3000 feet over the region.

Blas is staging an excellent two-part competition as a celebration of our 2008 programme being launched. For the first part we will be giving away 45 PAIRS of tickets. That means 90 people will see at least one Blas show, totally free of charge.

The Blas Festival is pleased to announce that tickets for all of its 45 shows will go on sale on Thursday, 29th May. We will be publishing the full programme for print and here on our website on that date. We really do have an exciting programme for 2008 and tickets will be available online to purchase.
