Any evening which features the talents of Gaelic singer and tradition bearer Rona Lightfoot is sure to be a cracker! Alongside her are the phenomenal band Breabach who had a busy 2007, with the release of their critically acclaimed debut album, “The Big Spree” and were nominated for Folk Band of the Year at the Scots Trad Music Awards. 2008 saw their guitar player and vocalist, Ewan Robertson pick up the title BBC Young Traditional Musician of the Year. The programme is completed by the vocal talents of the award winning Nairn Gaelic Choir.

Donald Black has been wowing audiences around the world with his stunning mouth organ playing for years, with his distinctive pipe style and stunning slow air arrangements. Joining him and his band tonight are musicians of real quality, Angus Lyon (Accordion) and Ruaridh Campbell (Fiddle). Both are successful performers in their own right, Angus is 6 times British Accordion champion and Ruaridh is winner of the prestigious Glenfiddich Fiddle Championship 2002. We are also delighted to present double Mod gold medallist Jenna Cumming and Cape Breton duo Chrissy Crowley (Fiddle) and Jason Roach (Piano) to complete the programme.
