Blas 2008 Education Events

Welcome to the 1st programme of Blas Education events

The Highland Council Cultural Co-ordinator and Arts Links programmes, in partnership with Fèisean nan Gàidheal and Blas, have developed an exciting programme to compliment the Blas Festival.

These events developed by Highland Council Cultural Co-ordinator and Arts Links programmes widen Blas to engage more people, particularly young people, creating more opportunities for participation. A vast range of activities are on offer from children’s art and step-dance workshops to school concerts from Blas musicians and community food events. There are talks for secondary school pupils from Dr Margaret Bennett and Glenuig piper and singer Allan MacDonald. For some primary school pupils there are Gaelic Playground Games sessions and beginners Gaelic workshops. Many of the education events are programmed during the school day, with specific schools, except those marked with*. Events marked with * are open to the public.
