EILIDH NICCOINNICH & CÒMHLAN
GARY INNES & EÒGHANN MACDHONNCHAIDH

‘S e pìos ùr a tha seo bho bhanabhàrd an Eilein Duibh, Eilidh NicCoinnich: Saoghal Sona anns a bheil òrain ùra sgrìobhte mu naidheachdan na bliadhna a dh’fhalbh. Ach, eu-coltach ri bròn is dòrainn nan naidheachdan àbhaisteach, tha na h-òrain uile gu math aighearach, aoibhneach! Le cuid dhen luchd-naidheachd, luchd-ciùil is seinneadairean as fheàrr againn, cuiridh an consart fìor fhiamh-ghàire air d’ aodann. Tòisichidh cùisean le Gary Innes agus Eòghann Robastan.
Saoghal Sona / Wonderful World

EILIDH MACKENZIE & BAND
GARY INNES & EWAN ROBERTSON

A new commission by the accomplished Black Isle based bàrd Eildih Mackenzie, Saoghal Sona is a show with new songs written about news events over the past year.  The only thing that is instead of the usual doom and gloom which we normally get from our media, all the songs tell a story of joy!  With performances from some of our top news readers, musicians and singers, this show will definitely leave a smile on your face.  The show is opened by local stars Gary Innes and Ewan Robertson.

SLIGHE CHÈILIDH FÈIS ROIS

Dealbh-chluich le Tormod MacArtair stèidhte air caochladh òran èibhinn ann an Gàidhlig. Tha cùisean suirghe Dhòmhnaill nam bùrach nuair nach eil na brògan ùra a’ tighinn ris. Tha a chearbhaidh a’ teicheadh às an dannsa ach thèid Dòmhnall às a dèidh. Air a phronnadh le a h-athair tha Dòmhnall air a thoirt dhan ospadal. An dèidh turas inntinneach san ambulans tuitidh e ann an gaol le Iseabail, a’ bhanaltram. Le feagal air gun leig droch chaisbheart sìos a-rithist e,  tha e a’ lorg freagairt  air a’ chladach.

San dàrna leth dhen oidhche bidh cèilidh agus dannsa ann.

FEIS ROIS CEILIDH TRAIL

A play by Tormod MacArtair based around  some humourous Gaelic songs.  Donald’s love life falters when his new patent leather slip-ons let him down badly at the dance.  His girl walks out on him, he tries to win her back but ends up unconscious.  An interesting trip in the ambulance, then, while in theatre, he falls in love with Iseabal the nurse. Desperate not to let unsatisfactory footware ruin things again, he finds an answer on the shore.

After the show  the group will play for a traditional ceilidh dance.
