Both young and old are welcome at the Highland Folk Park where concerts and events will be happening at various locations around the grounds. MacCrimmon to the Power of Three are 2007 BBC Young Traditional Musician of the Year finalist Calum MacCrimmon (Pipes / Whistle), Innes Watson (Guitar) and Martin Hunter (Accordion). Còmhlan Luadh Bhaideanach come from the local area and are doing a fantastic job of preserving and performing the Gaelic songs of the area and beyond. The afternoon lime up is completed with song and tunes from the recently established Cairngorms Cèilidh Trail group.

Join us for a scrumptious dinner and cracking tunes on one of the most beautiful steam train journeys in the land. Limited tickets so book early. The focus of this concert will be celebrating new Gaelic music from the Highlands. Fiona MacKenzie is currently riding high in the traditional music scene with the launch of her highly acclaimed album “Elevate.” Also on stage will be Meantime, a group of four Gaelic speaking musicians from the Highlands and Islands, with a strong commitment to writing new Gaelic song. They are David MacLennan, Malcolm Munro, David Boag and 2006 traditional gold medallist Norman MacArthur. The programme will be completed by the sensational fiddle playing from Cape Breton musician, Andrea Beaton
